   Jackson, New Hampshire

The #1 Cross-Country Ski Area in the

Eastern United States!

Snowshoe Information

Jackson has long been known for it winter activities. Snowshoes have been used as tools by local residents for decades. The Foundation maintains trails specifically designated for snowshoeing. Trails lead from the Touring Center to Nestlenook Farm and advanced adventures can be found in the upper elevations of Prospect Farm and in the National Forest trails on our system. Ask at the information desk for advice and maps.

Try our Eskergo Snowshoe Trail.  It parallels the Ellis River Trail from Jackson XC to the Hot Chocolate Cabin.  Your friends might be skiing but you can still meet them for a cup of hot chocolate at the Cabin.  Then explore the Thirsty Owl and Moosabunga Loop on your way back to Jackson.  You can now snowshoe on the Sprucewood Path from the Village to the Eagle Fields.  Explore Jackson's Flume Loop and see this scenic glacial feature.

Check our Calendar of Events for frequent Instructional Guided Snowshoe Nature Tours and our weekly Tuesday Trekkers social snowshoe tour.

We rent MSR snowshoes with universal binding to fit your outdoor footwear.

Snowshoe trail tickets $10.  Rentals $12.  We have kids rental snowshoes too!
