Today is the last day of full operations for the 2015 ski season. This was a fantastic season with a solid 122 days of skiing and snowshoeing, and an exciting year for the organization with the conservation easement on the Wave and a successful capital campaign that this still going strong. I would like to thank all of our landowners who have generously allowed us to ski your back yards. Without your support we would not be able to offer our amazing trail system, which is truly one of the most extensive and beautiful trail systems in the country, some would even say the world. Again, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I also would like to extend our gratitude to all of our volunteers, business partners, donors, friends and staff. That old phrase of “It takes a village…” is not demonstrated anywhere better than in Jackson, NH. I really am impressed at our community’s ability to come and work together to provide an amazing experience, not just for our visitors but also for all of us who have the good fortune to be able to call Jackson and Mount Washington Valley our home.
There is still great coverage out there, especially in Prospect Farm. We have parked the Pisten Bully here and will continue what we call “curtesy grooming” until we run out of fuel. You are on your own for all other amenities, but the skiing will be fantastic. As a nonprofit, this is a service that we are proud to be able to offer.
Our office will close at 4:30 today and will re-open on Thursday April 2nd. The staff will be taking a well-deserved 3 day weekend! Don’t forget the deadline for the lowest rates on season passes for 2016 is March 31. At only $120, that is less than a $1 per day! You still have a couple days left to get the best deal. You can order online through our E-Store. Just click on the Rates & Passes tab on the top of the page. I would also like to mention that we still have a few pair of Fisher Orbiter waxless skis left for sale. Only $85 with SNS bindings! Sizes are limited at this point, but it is worth stopping in to see if the ski is right.
Thanks again to all, we had blast!
…it’s only about 245 days until we will meet on the trails again.
