We teach fun, efficient and effective X-C skiing techniques that create more smiles per mile. The short time spent in a ski lesson will add to the enjoyment of your overall skiing experience. You will be amazed at how fun becoming a better skier can be. All of our instructors are PSIA certified.

First Time Skiers
If this is your first time skiing, we recommend that you come to the Jackson X-C Base Lodge and sign up for our "Super-Saver Package". Our expert staff will assist you with ski equipment fitting and give you 1 1/4 hours of X-C ski instruction using our specially designed Learning Center and get you set up with recommendations for what trails to experience, where to find a good lunch, interesting viewpoints and more. You can take a traditional lesson or our Special Introductory Tour. You will start out with more fun than trying to learn by yourself, your enjoyment of the sport will be greater, and you will ski farther and see more.

Group Lessons

Choose between a traditional lesson or a beginner's introductory tour. Group lessons are available at the Jackson X-C Base Lodge. Group lessons are for ages 10 and up. We can customize a group lesson for you, your family and/or your group. Call 603-383-9355 to arrange your adventure.

Weekends and Vacation weeks 10:15 A.M., 11:45 A.M. and 1:15 P.M. or by instructor availability

Super Saver Package

Everything you need to get started: Trail Pass, Ski Rentals and Group Tour/Lesson (a $47 value) for $42 adults, $33 for Juniors (10 - 15) and $39 for Seniors (65+)

Private Lessons

Private lessons designed to meet your goals and abilities. Available in Classic and Skate techniques. For any age.
Price $35/hr private (one person)
$25/hr per additional person: Semi Private

Enjoying the Downhills Lesson
A group lesson designed to build confidence and skills for skiing hilly terrain.

1 hr Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate. Held Saturdays and Sundays at 10:15 a.m. $16/person.

Easy Sliders

A gentle introduction to cross country skiing and winter fitness for people who want to exercise but don’t quite know how to begin. Open to absolute beginners on Tuesdays and Fridays starting in January. Each session is one hour of instruction and gentle practice. Be ready to ski at 10:30. If you need rentals come 20 minutes early. The outdoor portion is followed by refreshments by the fire in the base lodge. Rate is $10 for each session including rentals (for the session period only). This program will introduce new skiers to basic XC technique and give participants the chance to experience the fun and fitness benefit of our snow sport. A whole world of winter trails is out there waiting for you, Easy Sliders is the way to start.

“FRIDAY GLIDERS”!!

Join Marianne Borowski and other guest instructors for an afternoon tour of classic skiing for experienced beginner/intermediates on trails here in Jackson! Imagine hours of fun, gliding smoothly through neatly groomed trails, enjoying the company of new and old friends, along with getting some tips & technique pointers as you go.

Afterward we meet at the touring center for refreshments, tea and snacks!

Meeting every Friday starting Jan 2- March 27

Be ready to go at 1pm, finishing up about 3pm

Cost for the tour and goodies: $10 each or $55 for the season for annual club members.

Rentals are available if you need equipment. You will also need a trail pass or your annual membership card. Waxless or waxable classic skis are fine. Bring water, trail snack, and appropriate attire.

The Nordic Excel Series
Imagine a series of three custom designed private lessons that will address your personal skiing needs and goals. These lessons are completely tailored to your need for fun, learning and experience. If you have been wishing/thinking that you could ski better, this is your ticket to excel.
Price $85.00 for the package of all 3 lessons.

Enjoying the Downhills Clinic
A special 2 hr clinic designed for experienced beginners or intermediates to instill confidence and sharpen techniques for skiing hilly terrain. Sessions are offered during the winter - check calendar of events for specific dates. Skiers should be at the baselodge at 9:00 a.m. to be ready for the 2 hour session (9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.) $25/person. Please call ahead to reserve a space.
